PatientView Look up your blood results online and also find out what they mean.
If you are not signed up for this and
want to join, print, read, fill in and sign this form and then post the form to
the address given in it. Only people referred to hospital kidney
doctors (nephrologists) can join.
You might see
the eGFR column empty in the blood result section and this
might be one of the most interesting results for you if you’re
not on dialysis. It is empty due to a glitch in the system. So
to calculate your eGFR use the calculator at: http://nephron.org/mdrd_gfr_si
and enter the information you can get from Renal Patient View
(your latest creatinine result which is in μmol/L, so leave
this option selected). Leave "Creatinine methods recalibrated
to be traceable to IDMS" unchecked. Please note that eGFR
calculators differ slightly and the result might be 1 or 2
points different from another calculator. But it is still good
enough to give you a trend of what is happening.
